I began documenting my own body in both urban and rural outdoor locations four years ago.
Since I was very young I have been fascinated by the stories I heard of children who had been bought up by wolves. These images of myself, naked in the pitch darkness surrounded by cold, reeds and trees, are strongly linked to this fascination and to a sense of living as an ‘outsider’.
In addition, the V of the trees, and the house in the warm sun reinforce my continuing sense of uncertainty about living in this world, an uncertainty which echoes the separation I feel between my mind and body.
Tereso is the name of the area in Sweden where these shots were taken.
